Christmas time is here, Happiness and cheer...

Holidays are a time we get busy!  Perhaps one party after another … a bit of frenzied shopping … and the traveling, whether near or far -- sometimes there seems to be no end to the miles-long holiday to-do list. 

However, amidst all that bustling, I appreciate taking the time to reflect on the moments shared with family and friends, customers, colleagues, and even strangers, to remember that the season is about so much more. 

It is a time to reflect upon peace, love, and goodwill…the sparkle…the good stuff.

It may be a challenge to not let the busy-ness of the holidays eclipse these wonderful things. The giving of gifts need not be in the form of material things -- it could be lending a hand with a chore or sharing your talents where they are badly needed.

Look around…see the flickering lights and sparkly stuff.  Understanding that this is how we would all like to feel inside is reminder enough to take the chance – whenever you have it – to share joy.  Oh, how we all do need it!

And before I close, I do want to extend my appreciation to all of our online shoppers whose purchases have helped us “give back” to important causes here on the Outer Banks. Your support is appreciated!
