Shine On: Druzy Quartz Jewelry
Who can resist these sparkling stones?
Druzy – the result of crystallization on stone – looks like crystalized sparkling sugar on the outer rind of a gemstone. Just yummy!
And because this is a natural process, druzy quartz (despite its appearance) is an amazingly durable and strong stone.
At Beach Treasures in Duck, you’ll find druzy jewelry in a variety of colors and settings – and for my customers, this is a big part of its appeal! Popular colors range from the natural silvery grey to brilliant Caribbean blue…but you’ll also see it in white, black, and pink. Titanium druzy -- another big favorite – with its iridescent qualities, reflects a kaleidoscope of colors.
It’s no surprise that druzy captures attention…with all of its tiny, sparkling crystals; druzy quartz is reminiscent of sugar or snow. Whether its coloring is vivid or muted, it's a gem that often takes center stage in a statement pendant or adds an irresistible shine to a multi-gemstone bracelet. On it’s own, druzy holds its own – whether showcased as singular druzy pendant or in sparkling earrings that will up stage that little black dress.
And as for its magic…many believe that druzy amplifies and purifies our body's natural energy by promoting energy balance on a mental, physical, and spiritual level. It’s also been said that the gemstone boosts creativity and imagination – which if you take it on its (shiny) surface – makes so much sense. Who doesn’t feel uplifted when a rainbow arches across the sky or when sun’s rays skitter across the crashing waves?
Beach Treasures in Duck is found exclusively on the Town of Duck Boardwalk…an ideal spot for shopping while you’re on the Outer Banks. I hope your travels lead you to our special place and I thank you for visiting our site and reading our BLOG, “The Treasure Trove.”
